Gabriella Sacco (b. Italy, 2002) is a visual artist and 3D animator working with video installations and the artificiality of computer-generated imagery.
She graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, and is now based in Luzern, Switzerland, where she is concluding a Master on Experimental Film.
Gabriella Sacco 2026.
Her work mixes a realistic aesthetic with hardly credible animated scenes, revealing their artificiality but suggesting another possible layer of understanding. The works obliquely address abstract concepts such as the unknown and the traumatic, removed or forgotten.
This way, a precisely constructed and looped animation stands as a re-elaboration of an ever recurring (and very real) anguish, that is otherwise very hard to imply, because there is never an exact image of it.
The point of contact between such contrasted contexts – real and artificial; physical and digital – is searched to offer the space for an instant of intuition in the artist and the viewer alike.
