On a narrow road, cars speed by one after another in both directions. Passersby walk, run and ride bikes. The road leads to the gate of a villa - open, yet dangerous to reach. Casually, a little girl appears and jumps into the road. Cars and bikes barely miss her as she continues to play in the middle of the street: hopping, spinning, tiptoeing… Her computer-generated figure glitching constantly as she slips through the traffic.

This video work was created during a three-week residency at the Antonio Ratti Foundation in Como. The street leading to the Foundation, which appears in the video, served as both a setting and a source of inspiration for the piece.
Special thanks to the Fondazione Antonio Ratti, Annie Ratti (director), Lorenzo Benedetti (curator), Ed Atkins (invited artist), and Magdalena Mitterhofer (camera and sound support), as well as all the other fellow residents of CSAV XXIX.
